CQC Inspection at Modality Mid Sussex

As we hope you’re aware, the CQC are assessing Modality Mid Sussex again after their rating as inadequate back in September 2023. There’s an opportunity for all patients to provide positive and constructive feedback, or where you feel the service needs further improvements. This can be done in the following ways.

Online: www.cqc.org.uk/give-feedback-on-care

By phone if it’s hard for you to do things online: 03000 616161 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, excluding bank holidays)

The inspection has certainly generated some interesting discussions across a range of platforms. Even today, Sussex Integrated Care Services (another part of the NHS) have made a statement encouraging patients to contribute. It’s reassuring that so many people are keen for patients to get the best care and services, and we will continue to work with these bodies to ensure our voices as patients continues to be heard.

New year, new look

As we begin moving further into 2025, we’ve taken the decision to begin refreshing our website. Whilst the old one served its purpose, we felt it was time to introduce some new ideas, with the aim of bringing you all a bit more about why we are here, what we do and how you can get involved.

All of us here on the PPG are patients of Modality Mid Sussex. We have all experienced the pain of getting an appointment, of hanging on the phone only to be told there are no appointments, and we are all volunteers aiming to ensure that our patients voices are heard.

This site will begin to evolve into something gradually over time. We aren’t experts, but we have a broad range of skills that complement each other. We are open, transparent and keen to ensure that all patients receive the highest levels of care, that we are treated with respect and we feel supported.

Over the coming weeks, we will begin sharing more information about us and we will continue to encourage Modality Mid Sussex to deliver the services we expect.
